Keegan’s Boiler room is a space for playwrights to create and develop new works. This series put on in May of 2022 served as a way to tech through these staged readings and further work each play for an online audience.

 En Las Sombras

On the surface, a Story of 2 young children attempting to sneak past the gods into a new world. The whole show, told in a magical realist style, is an allegorical story of 2 kids crossing the boarder into the United States from Mexico.

The Images below (left to right) depict the cross through the desert, the Ice Box, and the Celestial Gods.

Marjorie is Dead

A farcical tale indirectly dealing with with many pandemic-esk themes in a truly funny way.

Mushroom

A gripping story featuring a group of academics debating what to do about a statue and an impending riot with steep consequences.

The Wilting Point

A beautifully told environmental/ crime drama

Strangers with Benefits

A story of love and self acceptance

Push the Button

A fun Musical about villains and heroes, that challenges to question our assumptions about who’s who

I created a number of other backgrounds and movement sequences for this show not pictured here.
