How will the human species be remembered after our extinction? Who will remember us? In this unique, and perhaps accurate, imagining of the future, a special group of robots has put together a museum about humanity 100 years after humanity’s extinction. There plans for a new exhibit’s opening is thrown off when they accidentally discover evidence that humans may have lived longer than they thought. come fall in love with these bots! and discover the end of humanity as told through the cinema.

From Rorschach’s Website: As robots on Earth finalize a museum exhibit commemorating the 100th anniversary of humanity’s extinction, an unexpected radio transmission disrupts everything they thought they knew. This darkly comic new play delves into our legacy and who will carry it forward.

The production will transform a two-story former retail store into Miyoko Conley’s visionary world: a living, breathing museum about the last days of humanity, envisioned by its robot curators through the lens of twentieth century disaster films. Audiences enter the museum lobby and can explore the gift shop, several exhibits and the bar before settling into their seats to watch the play.

Reviews

“The effects really are paramount to the success of this production. Ian Vespermann’s sound design, Hailey LaRoe’s lighting, Kylos Brannon’s video design, Rooster Skylar Sultan’s props, and Ashlynne Ludwig’s costumes manage to somehow amazingly meld futuristic with 80s/90s vintage. It’s impressive to say the least.” - MD Theatre Guide

Suspended, like a canopy over the oblong stage, a chaotic tangle of string lights and A/V cables, complemented by video projection screens at both ends… The entire cast of robots, including Ayanna Fowler’s amusingly chipper Delivery Bot, are aided [by]… the same evocative effect as the environment, props, lighting, sound, and video design. - Metro Weekly
